First Congregational Church of South Windsor

Directions 

 

We are located on 993 Main Street in South Windsor.  Main Street is the beautiful, historic street that runs along the east side of the Connecticut River, and west of Route 5 in South Windsor.

 

From the Sullivan Ave/Buckland Rd/ Ellington Rd intersection in South Windsor:
Drive west on Ellington Rd (Rt 30) about 1.5 miles, take a right onto Governors Highway. 
Continue across Route 5 to the end of Governors Highway (just under 2 miles) and turn left onto Main Street.  The First Congregational Church is about .5 miles on the right.

 

From Interstates I-84 or I-91:
If you are on I-84 or I-91, take I-291.

 

From I-291 East or West, take exit 4, Route 5 (John Fitch Boulevard) north.  Take a left at the end of the ramp.  After about 1.5 miles, take a left at the light onto Pleasant Valley Road.  At the end of Pleasant Valley road, turn right onto Main Street.  In .5 miles, First Church is on the left.  

 

Where to go once you find us

 

You can park on the street or along the driveway which loops around the building.  It’s OK to park behind the church.  Most folks enter by the green front doors or by the doors on the left side of the building, the South Office entrance which leads down to Fellowship Hall or up to the office area and the sanctuary.  

 

 Our building is handicapped accessible  with a lift that reaches all levels of the church.  To use the lift, use the first door on the left side of the building.
